  • Only ticketed spectators can use the Olympic bus network.
  • Olympic bus network tickets are non-refundable. You will not be able to change your departure time so choose your time carefully. Please remember, using alternative modes of transportation including public transportation to the departure hubs is encouraged.
  • Timing is everything. Ensure you give yourself sufficient time to reach your departure hub. If you miss your departure time, you will be placed on the next available bus. Please arrive to the departure hub no less than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Everyone is encouraged to seek out transportation information at TravelSmart2010.ca and to "know before you go" at Games time.
  • The last Olympic bus departs two hours after the competitions end. Please plan your time carefully, as refunds will not be given if the return trip is missed. If you choose to remain in Whistler, you are responsible for your return trip to Vancouver. For information on booking a trip on a private carrier visit TravelSmart2010.ca.

  • The Olympic bus network only serves ticketed spectators travelling from the metro Vancouver area to Cypress Mountain and Whistler venues. If you are coming from the Whistler or Sea-to-Sky area Vancouver, please visit TravelSmart2010.ca for information about commercial motor coach service options to Vancouver.
  • Do not park along roadways in residential neighbourhoods, near a departure hub or in a departure hub not associated with your venue destination. Strict towing policies will be enforced.

Show your Olympic Event Ticket and ride public transit for free.* Your ticket entitles you to free and unlimited travel on all public transit on the day of your event, through to 04:00 the next morning. Use your free public transit privileges to take advantage of sightseeing, Olympic celebrations and other attractions on the same day. *On TransLink and BC Transit systems. Please note that the Olympic bus network is not a public service and requires reservations and payment.

Transportation to Whistler Olympic Park, The Whistler Sliding Centre, and Cypress Mountain is also available from Lonsdale Quay. Please note there is no parking at this departure hub, it is accessible by public transit.

FROM HIGHWAY 1 (TRANS-CANADA): take Exit 37 (Gaglardi Way north). Follow directional signs or parking staff to lot. FROM BURNABY: take Lougheed Highway to Burnaby Mountain Parkway. Follow the Parkway to Gaglardi Way. Follow directional signs or parking staff to lot.
Safety Tips
Auto Crime Protect yourself against the potential for auto crime. At the departure hub, remember to lock your vehicle and remove any visible contents. Also consider using an immobilizer or steering wheel lock. Impaired driving Plan ahead for a safe ride home. Have a designated driver, call a taxi, or use transit. Pedestrians Be safe, be seen. Wear light coloured clothing with reflective material so drivers can easily see you.
