General Information Spectators with tickets to Whistler events who are travelling from Metro Vancouver will be transported on the Olympic bus network, a charter bus service organized by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games (VANOC) and operating from a network of designated departure hubs in Metro Vancouver. All spectators with tickets to Cypress events, whether they are travelling from Metro Vancouver or the Sea to Sky corridor, must travel to Cypress via the Olympic bus network. There is no spectator parking at any Olympic venues, so the Olympic bus network will be a fast, affordable and convenient way for spectators to get to Whistler and Cypress competition venues. Please note: only Olympic event ticket holders may reserve seats on the Olympic bus network. After each competition, you will be transported back to your originating departure point. To reserve a seat on the bus, you must purchase an Olympic bus network transportation ticket. Please remember, using alternative modes of transportation including public transportation to the departure hubs is encouraged; and use of public transit is included in your event ticket. You can take public transportation, rideshare/carpool or drive to a departure hub located at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Capilano University, Simon Fraser University (SFU) and Langara College. There is also a transfer hub at Lonsdale Quay that is only accessible by public transportation, including the SeaBus. There is no spectator parking available at Lonsdale Quay. Ticket Sales A round-trip ticket (tax and fees included) to Cypress will cost $14 while a ticket to Whistler will cost $28 if booked by midnight PST January 10. Prices will increase to $25 for Cypress and $50 for Whistler if purchased on or after January 11, 2010. In recognition of Visa's support of the 2010 Winter Games, we are proud to accept only Visa payment cards. For more information on how to obtain a Visa card, visit your financial institution or Visa.ca. Spectators are encouraged to review the bus schedules before purchasing their transportation ticket. Tickets for each venue will remain on sale from the respective date forward and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis with a range of departure times for each session. Olympic bus network tickets are non-refundable and you will not be able to change your departure time so choose your departure time carefully. Please remember, using alternative modes of transportation including public transportation to the departure hubs is encouraged. If you plan to car pool/rideshare, parking is complimentary but a parking pass is required and can be booked online when you book your seat on the bus.
